Nigeria’s first e-scooter operator, Trekk scooter, has launched a new trend of transportation in Redeemers University, to help improve the quality of life by providing fun, easy-to-use, and eco-friendly mobility, driven by technology.
“This is a major step in the technological transformation journey on the campus,” according to Isaac Oyedokun, one of the founding members and Chief Executive Officer, Trekk scooters.
“We feel very honoured to finally partner with Redeemers University to launch our eco-friendly scooter programme for its students, staff, and visitors on campus.
“Trekk e-scooters can be active 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling the students to commute around the clock within the university premises with ease.
“The school’s architectural design and its serene environment upholds the values we drive at Trekk scooter,” he said.
Praise Sakanwi, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Trekk scooter, said in order to use one of the scooters, riders scan the QR code on the handlebars to begin a ride with a friendly price.
“The future is technology and in the coming days, Trekk will start rolling out more e-scooters on Redeemers University Campus and the students will be able to enjoy a lifestyle of fun, affordable and ease of ride.
“Redeemers University is a community that embraces and is open to innovative ideas.
“They are also willing and friendly with the idea of eco-friendliness and sustainability and we are very pleased to be able to provide the university with our cutting-edge e-scooters.
“We also plan to further expand the global reach of Trekk scooters into new channels of citadel of learning in various institutions in Nigeria and beyond,” he said.
